Our antenatal programme is a midwife led clinic with our Midwife, Orla Devine. Orla is a fully qualified midwife and has undergone additional specialist training in the provision of antenatal care. She is best placed to carry out your first antenatal visit, routine antenatal checks and to assist you during your pregnancy.  

At all times, Orla will seek a GP opinion should there be any complications or any non-pregnancy related issues concerning you.

Regardless of which form of maternity care you choose at the hospital, you are welcome to apply for combined care with Inchicore Family Doctors. All you need to do is sign a form at the booking appointment with Orla.

This entitles you to subsequent pregnancy related visits free of charge as follows:

7 antenatal visits during the pregnancy

2 postnatal visits after you have your baby:

• 2 week check (baby)

• 6 week check (mum and baby)
